Rebecca Emmerton
Registered Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Bec is a legally registered practitioner under the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) which is governed by the Federal agency of AHPRA and a member of the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA), the peak professional body for TCM Practitioners in Australia.
Bec completed her Bachelor of Health Science/Applied Science (Chinese Medicine) with RMIT University, graduating with Distinction. Throughout her career, she has the privilege of working with a diverse range of patients and conditions, including a 12-month internship in a Women’s health clinic, specializing in acupuncture during pregnancy and fertility. She has a keen interest in Women’s and Men’s reproductive health, as well as pregnancy care. Some of the conditions she regularly works with in the clinic include:
Gynaecology and Women’s health
Fertility and Pregnancy
Anxiety/Mood
Digestive disorders
Dermatology
Hormonal health
Autoimmune disease
Pain
Bec uses the Chinese medical framework to provide personalized care that addresses the root cause of patients' conditions, rather than treating the symptoms alone. This includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary and lifestyle advice. She also emphasises the importance of patient education and empowerment, and works collaboratively with patients to develop treatment plans that align with their goals and lifestyle. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs work wonderfully to complement Western medicine, and Bec works alongside a range of primary and other health care providers to deliver evidence-based, patient centered care.
When not in the clinic, Bec enjoys pottering in the garden, playing with her dogs or cooking up a storm in the kitchen!
Bec is registered for health fund rebates and is available for bookings Tuesday - Thursday & Saturdays.
