Nick Amato
Remedial Massage Therapist
Nick is a compassionate and grounded massage therapist who is passionate about helping clients reconnect with their bodies through intentional, therapeutic touch. With a calm, steady presence, he creates a welcoming space where people can slow down, soften into rest, and feel genuinely supported in their wellbeing.
Before entering massage therapy, Nick spent time working as a wilderness adventure guide, including guiding rafting expeditions on Tasmania’s Franklin River. This background continues to shape the way he holds space for others — with attentiveness, resilience, and a deep respect for the natural rhythms of the body and environment. He brings this same grounded awareness into each treatment, drawing on remedial massage techniques alongside influences from Zen Thai Shiatsu, weaving in its philosophy of presence, flow, and mindful touch. Currently studying ecology at university, Nick’s connection to the natural world remains a core part of both his personal and professional life.
Nick values simplicity, presence, and care that feels honest and unforced. Outside the treatment room, he is often found immersed in the outdoors, travelling, or baking sourdough bread from his home on the mountain — a reflection of his steady, hands-on approach to life. He believes meaningful treatment begins with listening, and works with intention to support each client’s individual needs, whether that be easing muscular tension, supporting recovery, reducing stress, or simply creating space to rest and reset. Clients leave his care feeling more grounded, regulated, and at ease in themselves.
Nick is available for appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and evenings, making his sessions a supportive option for end-of-day wind-down and post-work reset. Health fund rebates are available with all major health funds.
