Our Guide To // Embracing Winter
We hold a deep, innate knowing within us that ~
As the seasons shift, so must we.
As the days in the southern hemisphere grow shorter and Kunanyi starts to gather ever more frost, we’re starting to feel the instinctive invitation to tune into the seasonal cycle once again… to slow down, turn inward, and replenish what the busier months may have depleted.
After a season of firehorse energy permeating our work and social schedules (phew), now is the most opportune time to accept that invitation and sink into a season of deep rest and restoration.
To help ease you into this slower, hibernative season, we’ve curated a list of our favourite ways to nurture our bodies, minds, and nervous systems with intention woven throughout ~

A cup of herbal tea in the morning offers us a multitude of health benefits, such as speeding up our sluggish winter digestion, boosting our immune systems, increasing our circulation, reducing stress levels, and encouraging a moment of presence and inner warmth before the day truly begins.
We’ve been reaching for Love Tea’s Immunity blend to support our well-being as we move through the months when our immune system needs some bolstering. It makes for the perfect companion on those chilly, early mornings.

Weave warming treatments into your routine, as winter tends to stagnate and tense our bodies.
Hot Stone Massage treatments ground you in the present moment while improving blood and lymph circulation, as well as releasing tight muscles and connective tissue.

Gentle movement is the antidote to the heaviness of these darker and colder days. Not only does it help to warm our bodies and release tension, it also promotes stimulation of the lymphatic system, supporting our immunity, and is a natural mood booster.
We offer a 90-minute Flow to Slow Yoga class on Wednesday evenings, if you feel called to some mindful movement.

Embrace the slower pace winter asks of us.
This season gifts us this time for restoration and recuperation, so allow yourself to sleep more when you need to, say yes to less, and remember that you, too, are moving through the natural cycle of the seasons.
We have time for you this winter season.
